LAWSON STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE LINE WORKER GRADUATES RECEIVE CONDITIONAL OFFERS AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Bessemer, AL (09/15/2021) — BESSEMER, Alabama (September 15, 2021) Lawson State Community College recognized twelve students who successfully completed the nine-week Line Worker Training Program with a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Following the completion of the program, all of the graduates were invited to take part in interviews with several companies like Alabama Power, line worker contractors, and other utility companies. Lawson State is proud to announce that several students from the program received conditional job offers or internship opportunities following their interviews.

Each graduate from the Summer 202 Line Worker Program has received conditional offers and internship opportunities: six graduates were hired by Alabama Power and six graduates were hired by UTEC.

*Note: These are conditional offers. Candidates must successfully qualify and meet all pre-employment screening items in order to be cleared for hire.

The next line worker training classes are scheduled to begin January 2022 and March 2022. Registration for the program is closed at this time.
