Lawson State Community College to Host Career Readiness and Job Preparation Sessions

Free short-term training opportunities and other information will be available at these session

Birmingham, AL (07/19/2022) — Lawson State Community College will host two Career Readiness and Job Preparation Sessions on Thursday, July 21, 2022, ahead of the Putting Alabama to Work Job Fair to be held Friday, July 22, 2022.

Information about the college's programs and resources will be shared during these sessions, and the Alabama Career Center will cover resume preparation, interview tips, and business etiquette. These sessions are open to the public, but registration is encouraged and can be completed at https://lawsonstate.formstack.com/forms/putting_alabama_to_work_job_fair_career_readiness_.

The first session will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Academic Success Center of the Birmingham campus located at 3060 Wilson Road S.W., Birmingham, AL 35221. The second session will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Ethel Hall Building of the Bessemer campus located at 1100 Ninth Avenue S.W., Bessemer, AL 35022.
