LAWSON STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO HOST CAREER AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR
On-site employers looking to fill positions immediately
Bessemer, AL (03/14/2022) — Lawson State Community College will host its annual Career and Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Bessemer Civic Center (1130 9th Ave SW, Bessemer, AL 35022). This is the first year that the college is able to present the fair in person following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fair features dozens of local employers who are looking to give out information and recruit for job opportunities and free resources for the community.
Some of the employers in attendance will include the City of Birmingham, Vulcan Materials Company, Chick-Fil-A Lakeshore, Home Health, AmFirst Bank, Birmingham Police Academy, Bessemer Police Academy, Starbucks, Carvana, Alabama Power, Ventura Foods, UAB Medical West, Buffalo Rock, Brookwood Baptist Health, Edgar's Bakery, Alabama Department of Veteran Affairs, Avadian Credit Union, Crawford Media Group, and more.
Some of the non-profits that will be on-site will include the YMCA Central AL Child Development Services, UAB Medicine, Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS), Childcare Resources, Housing Authority of the City of Bessemer, Disability Rights, and Resources, and Jefferson County Commission.
