Lawson State Receives Significant Donation From Birmingham Racing Commission

Birmingham, AL (02/02/2022) — Lawson State Community College has become the recipient of a generous monetary donation to the college from the Birmingham Racing Commission.

On Monday, January 24, 2022, Mr. Charles Crockrom, chairman of the Birmingham Racing Commission, presented a check for $34,067 to Dr. Cynthia T. Anthony, president of Lawson State for its organization's use.

"This is a wonderful gift that will aid in the needs and advancements of our students," said Dr. Anthony. "We are extremely grateful to The Birmingham Racing Commission for its support and commitment to Lawson State Community College."
